Bachelor of Arts in Music Education

The aim of the course Bachelor of Arts in Music Education is to produce graduates who have a comprehensive musical education and to ensure that they have at their disposal the necessary qualifications for their pursuit of a career as educators in music. The central guiding principles of a successful degree are comprised of the following: professional proficiency of the major study; pedagogical expertise, in particular the concepts of methodology and didactics in the field of Jazz and Popular Music in both theory and practice; the ability to independently develop artistic concepts as well as their performance; expertise in scientific research and reflection of creative processes; and a high degree of social and communicative competence.
