NYC Musikmarathon Faculty Workshop:
This workshop with the NYC Musikmarathon faculty will deal with learning how to master the basics such as time, feel, phrasing & groove in order to develop your own unique sound. The faculty will also introduce approaches to advance improvisational skills and interaction on the bandstand. Each faculty member will talk about methodical workouts for his/her specific instrument (vocals, horns, rhythm section) to further musical and improvisational ideas.
Finally we will ask volunteers(please bring your instruments) to sit in and play a few tunes before a short Q&A session will explain how to apply for a scholarship for this year’s NYC Musikmarathon Workshop (17th-20th of August)with an international faculty in Mattighofen, Upper Austria.
