MUSIC PRODUCTION FOR TODAY’S MEDIA ERASMUS+ - BLENDED INTENSIVE PROGRAMME
From 26 April to 1 May 2027, JAM MUSIC LAB Private University for Jazz and Popular Music Vienna will host the international Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) “Music Production for Today’s Media.”
Organised by JAM MUSIC LAB’s Media Music Department, this intensive workshop week will bring together around 22 students from Erasmus+ partner universities, as well as guest students from our partner university in Taiwan, for a week of collaborative learning, creative exchange and hands-on work in Vienna.
The programme explores music production across film, games, songwriting and the international music industry. How are music and sound produced for today’s media? What do professional production processes look like in different areas of the industry? And how do technology, composition and artistic practice interact in contemporary music production?
Through workshops, practical sessions and exchange with professionals from the international film and music industries, students will gain insights into current production practices and have the opportunity to work alongside students from different countries and musical backgrounds.
Planned topics include:
- Orchestral recording for film and Hollywood productions
- Music production and songwriting
- Game audio
- Dolby Atmos and immersive audio
- Mastering for international record labels
- Production techniques at the intersection of technology and composition
The programme will combine practical workshops, collaborative projects, professional insights and international exchange.
Tutors and invited industry professionals will be announced shortly.
As a Blended Intensive Programme, the week in Vienna will be complemented by a virtual component bringing participants together in connection with the physical mobility period.

The BIP is open to students from participating Erasmus+ partner institutions. Places are limited, and applications and nominations are coordinated through the participating universities.
