What can musicians contribute beyond the artistic context — to science, business, technology, and social innovation?

Musical thinking combines creativity, improvisation, pattern recognition, communication, collaborative work, and the ability to intuitively understand complex systems. This is exactly where BEYOND NOISE begins.

Together with musician, composer, and futurologist Ulrich Drechsler and JAM Rector Marcus Ratka, participants will explore how musical skills can be transferred into new contexts and used as impulses for innovation and social development.

The workshop is conceived as an interactive dialogue and innovation lab. Established ways of thinking will be questioned, new perspectives developed, and possible connections between music, science, technology, business, and society explored.

Key topics include creativity and improvisation as innovation skills, musical thinking as a tool for complex problem-solving, future professional fields for musicians, and the social responsibility of artistic practice.

Participants are invited to contribute their own perspectives and ideas, develop new areas of application for musical expertise, and discuss them together.
