Christos Kavazis Represents JAM MUSIC LAB Private University at “Alle Neun in Contest” 2026

JAM MUSIC LAB Private University is proud to announce that Christos Kavazis will represent the university at “Alle Neun in Contest” 2026, the Singer-Songwriter / Band Contest of Austria’s music universities and music colleges, hosted by the MDW – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna on 15 May 2026. The event brings together selected young acts from all nine Austrian music universities and conservatories and offers an important platform for emerging artists in the field of popular music, live performance, songwriting, and contemporary music.

Originally from Cyprus, singer and performer Christos Kavazis combines an early musical foundation in choir and ensemble work with an international educational path and a distinctly contemporary artistic profile. After formative study years in Rome, he came to Vienna through the Erasmus programme and has since continued his artistic development at JAM MUSIC LAB Private University. His musical identity is shaped by stylistic versatility, expressive vocal performance, and a stage presence that connects traditional roots with a modern artistic language.

For this special appearance, Christos Kavazis will be joined by outstanding musicians: Alan Bartus (keys), Michael Bauer (bass), and Adrian Varady (drums). At “Alle Neun in Contest”, each nominated act performs both a cover song and an original composition, offering audiences and jury members a direct insight into artistic individuality, musical interpretation, and creative authorship.

With this nomination, JAM MUSIC LAB Private University once again demonstrates its role as an international hub for jazz, popular music, artistic development, music performance, and higher music education in Vienna.
