The 2026 edition was hosted by the Stella Vorarlberg Private University College of Music in Feldkirch. Austrian national broadcaster Ö1 was once again present, covering the event live.
JAM MUSIC LAB Private University Vienna: Focus on Media Music
JAM MUSIC LAB Private University Vienna contributed projects from the field of media music. The students Volodymyr Mazurika and Morvarid Tahmasebi presented works combining music with visual and digital elements, including compositions for film and gaming as well as audiovisual performances.
These contributions reflected a strong connection between artistic practice and current developments in the creative industries. The integration of technology into musical creation was a defining aspect of the JAM presentations.
A Wide Spectrum: From Early Music to Media Performance

The program in general featured a broad stylistic range: from solo harp and vocal ensembles to larger wind formations. Musically, it spanned early music, classical and contemporary repertoire, jazz, improvised music, and current formats in media and gaming. This diversity highlighted the openness of music education in Austria toward new forms and interdisciplinary approaches.
Ö1 as Media Partner
The involvement of Ö1 once again provided an important platform for the event. Through its live coverage, the performances reached audiences beyond the venue, increasing the visibility of the students’ work across Austria.
