Jazz Congress 2019 at Lincoln Center

New York, Monday, January 7 - Tuesday, January 8, 2019

Marcus Ratka and Jeffrey Levenson represented Jam Music Lab at one of the worldwide biggest jazz summits and met among others Terri Lyne Carrington,  Maria Schneider, Dan Morgenstern, Fritz Thom, Jason Olaine, Wynton Marsalis, Christian McBride, Brian Blade, Stefon Harris, George Wein, Randy Brecker, Reggie Workman, and Lenny White. More than 150 performers, panelists and speakers participated in performances, workshops and 30 panel discussions on topics including Jazz and Race, Jazz Education, Gender and Jazz,  Leaning from Large Jazz Organizations, Why Performance Matters: Stagecraft Masterclass, Jazz in Film and TV Soundtracks and more. 

Jazz at Lincoln Center and JazzTimes have joined forces to co-produce the Jazz Congress, an annual conference designed to bring together artists, media and industry leaders in the global jazz community to exchange ideas in order to nurture and grow the jazz community and the underlying business and organizations that promote, produce, present, market and support the music.
