JAM MUSIC LAB students play concerts in China

The background to the trip was the upcoming opening of the "Chinese Talent Development Base" at the Zhangjiagang Foreign Language School in the city of Suzhou, a school for around 7,000 children and young people with a focus on language, music and art education.

In the field of media music (film music and games music), close cooperations involving teachers and students from Zhangjiagang and Vienna will take place in the coming years. The JAM MUSIC LAB University will lead the early promotion of young people at the school in Zhangjiagang in the field of music production and media music.

During a first visit from May 24-29, 2023, JAM students Alexandra Tkach (voc.), Robert Unterköfler (sax.) and Andreas Varady (guit.) performed in joint concerts with students from the J.S. Bach Music School in Vienna and the music schools in Suzhou.
