Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre

As part of an Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Teaching, pianist and JAM MUSIC LAB Vice Rector Monika Herzig visited the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in Tallinn in October 2026.

During her visit, she led a workshop on career development and goal setting for approximately 50 music students and coached an advanced jazz ensemble preparing a tribute to John Coltrane. The teaching activities were complemented by collaborative performances at Tallinn’s renowned jazz club Philly Joe’s, bringing together students, faculty and professional musicians.

The visit provided valuable opportunities for artistic exchange, practical learning and international collaboration, strengthening the ties between both institutions.
