The New Standards Real Book: Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme 2027
Interested in jazz, new repertoire and international collaboration? From 17 to 22 May 2027, JAM MUSIC LAB Private University will welcome students from different countries to Vienna for the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme “The New Standards Real Book – 101 Pieces by Female European Jazz Composers.”
During this international jazz workshop in Vienna, participants will explore selected compositions from the new Schott Music publication “The New Standards Real Book.” The collection presents music by female jazz composers from across Europe, opening up new perspectives on the contemporary jazz repertoire.
Throughout the intensive week, students will work in international combos, rehearse and arrange selected pieces, and develop their own artistic interpretations. Masterclasses, ensemble coaching, workshops, discussions and jam sessions will create space for musical exchange, experimentation and new connections across countries and cultures.
The programme concludes with a public final concert at JAM MUSIC LAB, where participants will present the music they have developed together during the week.
