Vienna City Sound Challenge: And the Winners are…

Two of our JAM Bachelor of Arts (BAM) students with main subject ‘Guitar Jazz/Pop’ won a special recording day at Vienna City Sound!

Lukas Blankenbichler – together with the band of BAM vocal almuna Louisa Specht – and Basir Akbari are the winners of the joined challenge of Vienna City Sound and JAM MUSIC LAB Private University.

Every semester, the Viennese recording studio "Vienna City Sound" and JAM MUSIC LAB Private University choose an outstanding band project from among the students of the university or conservatory. The prize is a recording day for the awarded project/work. A professional studio recording and a live studio video will be produced (You-Tube format).

All students of JAM or AMP were eligible to participate. The application was made by means of a meaningful video (rehearsal or concert recording, cell phone quality sufficient). There were no stylistic restrictions. The musical quality and originality of the performance has been judged.
