The JAM MUSIC LAB Portraits - Today: Vocal Student Tanja Peinsipp
Tanja Peinsipp kicked off her musical education on the classical piano but discovered her passion as a singer/performer in Pop, Jazz and Funk Music soon afterwards.
The energetic frontwoman already recorded several tracks and music videos with her current band “Spitting Ibex”. In the sold-out jazzclub Porgy & Bess Vienna Tanja recently presented her newest CD „Love/Hate/Fear/Fate“.
Tanja Peinsipp aka Aunty is a singer, artist, performer & currently based in Vienna. Her main projects include her presence as a front woman in the bands "Spitting Ibex" & "Mary Janes Soundgarden", furthermore she is a member of the Viennese Improv Art Band "CatzFlatz". The native Styrian loves to work with (Vienna's) artists & musicians, among others she featured "the howling muffs" in her song "cheated" in 2018 where she also acts in the video. In 2019 she cooperates with the young house producer Lukas Pöllauer and can be heard on his EP "Sunshower". She also plays and sings in the song "like wolves" of the band "Gospel Dating Service" which was released in June 2019. In the song "Gin Tonic" prod. by Eyht by Visar Kasa, Aunty tried her hand at acting rather than singing. At the end of 2019, on 11th October 2019, the EP "SUPPORT EACH OTHER" was released under the name "Aunty", which was written and produced by Dominik Landolt and can be seen as a live session on Youtube. The videos to the first three singles of the band Spitting Ibex "Mr.Operator" "Let it go" " the Seeds of your Sorrow", show us Aunty's creative vein, which she brings out through her outfits, her appearance, her performance on stage, her inventiveness behind the camera, but meanwhile also through her lyrics, since 2018. Now the band SPITTING IBEX released their first album "LOVE HATE FEAR FATE" in early 2020, which was extensively acclaimed at the sold out album release concert at Porgy & Bess and even earned a contribution at the ZIB-Nacht and CafePuls. Furthermore the band released a fourth video for the song "ILLUSIONS" feat. Jahson the Scientist, rapper of the band "Sketches on Duality" on April 5th, 2020 via Volume.at.
