Buddy Program: Intercultural Exchange and Erasmus+ Opportunities at JAM MUSIC LAB Private University Vienna
The Buddy Program at JAM MUSIC LAB and the Friedrich Gulda School of Music brings students from different countries together and actively promotes intercultural exchange. Its aim is to help international participants settle into life and studies in Vienna while experiencing Austrian culture firsthand.
During joint meetings, participants not only got to know each other but also explored Vienna – for example through an excursion in the historic city center and a visit to a traditional Viennese Christmas market. These activities created many opportunities for exchange, networking, and discovering diverse cultural perspectives.
A key element of the program is the focus on international mobility opportunities, particularly within the Erasmus+ framework. Students were given detailed insights into the partner institutions of JAM MUSIC LAB and the Friedrich Gulda School of Music across Europe and beyond. The program highlighted how an Erasmus+ stay can enrich artistic, academic, and personal development through new teaching approaches, international networks, and cultural experiences abroad. The Buddy Program also served as a space to address questions about mobility, reduce uncertainties, and inspire interest in future exchange opportunities.
The international spirit lies at the heart of the program: the Buddy Program serves as a platform for connection, exchange, and lived diversity – in Vienna and beyond.
