Thomas Hechenberger & Valentin Oman release new album: "RAW"

Take four outstanding musicians, a good portion of groove, mix the "Viennese funk school" with the spirit of downtempo and the result is: "Raw", the debut album of this great Austrian instrumental quartet.

For years on the road as sidemen for local and international greats, it was 2020 when  the Vienna Groove Unit, the austrian answer to "Vulfpeck" with Thomas Hechenberger ( guitar ), Valentin Oman ( Hammond B3 ), Rue Kostron ( bass ) and Christian Ziegelwanger ( drums ) was born. The compositions leave enough room for improvisation and are situated between jazz, funk and soul. The sound design is also outstanding:
