Austrian Jazz Award: JAM student Nina Feldgrill achieves 2nd place
The winners of the Austrian Jazz Award have been announced. There are winners in the categories Best Newcomer, Best Live Act and Best Album. The JAM MUSIC LAB Private University is delighted to announce that current Master's student and Ö1 Jazz Scholarship winner Nina Feldgrill has won second place in the Newcomer category. She has been impressing in many projects for several years and inspires with her virtuoso playing. We congratulate her on this success.
There were a total of 256 different submissions. These were awarded points in the summer by the so called Academy (82 experts from the jazz and music industry, including JAM representatives). Based on these scores, a shortlist was created for each of the three categories, from which the respective winners as well as the runners-up were selected by an expert jury on October 17. The jury is made up of

- Amro Salah (Cairo Jazz Festival)
- Martyna van Nieuwland (EJN, festivals in Katowice and Nijmegen)
- Otmar Klammer (Jazz Journalist and Organistor, Styria)
- Caroline Berchotteau (Sargfabrik Vienna)
- Regina Fisch (Festival De/Ensemble)
together.
