JMLU Vice-rector Monika Herzig's experiences at Erasmus program in Kaunas, Lithuania

As Vice Rector and Professor of Artistic Research at the Jam Music Lab Private University, Monika Herzig was invited to participate in the Staff Exchange Week at Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas, Litauen. 

Faculty from more than 40 countries gathered and  enjoyed a welcome program and reception on the first evening. Further social programs during the week included a tour of the city, an Arts Exhibit Opening, demonstrations of the Robotics and AI Lab, as well as a Multi Media Arts Concert. 

The music department invited Monika to participate as a judicator in the final student exams for two evening. The exams were staged in an event hall in concert format with various group as well as solo jazz performances. The teachers provided feedback for each group and decided on the most suitable grades. Finally, Herzig met with the rectors of the music school and the university to discuss possible exchange options between the schools and their planning on further collaborations.
