Judith Lisa impresses at "Alle 9" Lange Nacht der Musikuniversitäten
Graz became the epicenter of musical diversity. Under the motto “Alle Neun” (“All Nine”), students from all nine Austrian music universities and conservatories came together to celebrate the Long Night of Music. This year’s host was the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, which impressed with a rich, two-part program ranging from classical chamber music to vibrant pop-cultural live acts.
Particular attention was given to the second segment of the evening, held in the MUMUTH rehearsal hall, where the stage was dedicated to popular music. Among the standout performers was the talented artist Judith Lisa (Bogusch) from the JAM MUSIC LAB Private University for Jazz and Popular Music Vienna, who captivated the audience with a compelling performance.
The singer-songwriter and media music alumna presented original compositions distinguished by honest lyrics, a clear artistic identity, and a stylistic openness that wove together elements of pop, soul, and electronic music. Her performance was not only musically mature but also emotionally resonant—making it one of the true highlights of the night. Judith Lisa demonstrated that students from the JAM MUSIC LAB are not only technically proficient but also capable of deeply engaging their audience through authenticity and innovation.
She was joined by acts from the Joseph Haydn Private University of Burgenland, the MUK – Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna, and the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz, all of whom showcased the rich spectrum of contemporary popular music in Austria.
This event did more than spotlight the artistic excellence of Austria’s music institutions—it also provided students with a meaningful platform for exchange, collaboration, and creative development.
